2 Faces was born in the heart of the A&M studios (Vienna) in the winter of 2002. As Michael sat at the piano one winter day in 2002, he would soon realize how inspiring free time could be. While playing “Perhaps” a powerful as well as magnetic ballad, André decided to take a keen listening to the song. They both decided to run through the song as a mere preliminary pastime. One thing lead to another and in minutes Michael was playing his heart out on the piano and André was engrossed into the lyrics of “Perhaps.”  At the end of the song there was a look of astonishment on both their faces. They went a step further and made a trial recording which proved even more that there was a connection that could not be avoided. Days later Michael made a proposal to André which was a concept of a pop duo group combining the styles of that of an American and European singer. Both André and Michael were sceptical about being in a group as they both new the sacrifices that it took, however it was apparent that they had a good thing going so they decided to go ahead and follow thorough with the concept. Andrea (Michael’s wife) quickly started brainstorming for names. Within minutes it was obvious that the group should be called none other than 2 Faces. They worked for months in the studio recording several demo songs which included: Perhaps, My day, a remix of the famous Eleanor Rigby (Beatles), to name a few. Their first single was released in the fall of 2002. It was a recreation of “Happy Christmas” (Lennon/Ono) which they performed live with the Wiener Eis Löwen (WEV) at the Licht Ins Dunkel charity show in December of that year. They also performed in front of thousands at the big hockey game in Vienna’s biggest ice hall and also made an appearance at Excalibur City at the Czech/Austrian border. In 2003 the duo made several appearances in different venues in and around Austria in order to promote 2 Faces. In the spring of 2003 the pop duo started working vigorously on their second single “There’s a light,” a song that was composed specifically by 2 faces. The song was a ballad that targeted world peace, specifically for children. Licht Ins Dunkel quickly caught on and wanted the duo to perform the single at their annual gala. This was a live TV broadcast which was viewed my millions all over Austria. The duo had yet another opportunity to work closely with different teams within the Wiener Eis Löwen. In that same year they went on to perform “There’s a light” at several major venues namely: Licht Ins Dunkel TV gala and the WEV Big hockey game. They also won the Ö3 (the most popular radio station in Austria) competition against one of Austria’s most famous artists “Kurt Ostbahn”. As their third single, the rising due plans to step out of their love for the ballads and release a more twisted, edgy pop number which will definitely grab your attention! In the words on 2 faces “We make music that speaks to the mind and body but most importantly to the soul.”
